CHB Masonry Wall

Wall area, block count, and mortar for block laying (with optional plaster on 1 or 2 faces).

Plastering (Concrete Surfaces)

For plaster on concrete walls, ceilings or slabs — not part of a CHB wall entry above.

Reinforcing Steel

Rebar weight by diameter, cut length and piece count, using the standard deformed-bar formula (D²/162 kg per meter). Commercial bars are ordered in fixed stock lengths, so cut pieces are converted to standard bars needed.

Unit Weight = D² ÷ 162
Standard commercial bar length: m used to convert cut lengths into stock bars to order

Miscellaneous Cost

Direct cost items priced right in the entry — scaffolding, labor lump sums, equipment rental, or anything not covered by the material tables above. Cost = Size × Quantity × Unit Price (e.g. 50 kg per bundle × 10 bundles × price/kg). Leave Size blank to skip it and price by Quantity × Unit Price alone.

Work Procedures

Document the construction method and sequence of work — one step per entry, numbered in order. Edits update a step in place; new steps are added to the end.

Reinforcing Steel — Unit Weight Formula

Standard deformed round bar weight: W (kg/m) = D² ÷ 162, where D is the nominal bar diameter in millimeters. This is the industry-standard approximation derived from steel density (7,850 kg/m³) and is independent of bar grade.
